BSA Troop 84 Mission currently serves as a youth organization for males between the ages of 11 – 18 for the surrounding communities of Mission, Palmview, McAllen, Sharyland, and Alton.  Established in 1954, Troop 84 is one of many quality Scouting units available within the Arrowhead District of the BSA Rio Grande Council. Sponsored by Mission Lions Club in Mission, Texas, our troop is permanently located within Mission Lions Park and equipped with all the necessary tools to offer a successful scouting program.

Our dedicated volunteer parents and adult leaders utilize the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, Scout Slogan, and the Outdoor Code to help build a child’s good  character.  Scouts will also gain leadership and outdoor  experience as they work together with a youth/adult committee.   It is through scouting, we as youth leadership are able to instill a strong foundation in good character, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, community service, and outdoor adventure.
